Diversity Coordinator: We provide training for Port of Seattle employees on African Culture Workshops. In this role, we work with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, creating and facilitating the workshops along with providing guidelines on a strategic understanding of Africans living in the SeaTac Airport area.

Siliana Consulting is the Prime Consultant for the South King County Impact Fund  (SKCCIF):  

Siliana’s work is to work with the Port of Seattle to Reach the Community Based Organization to develop equity-based partnerships and provide resources and support in historically underserved near-airport communities.

Currently providing project professional services, including report writing, taking data, information, and analysis and compiling. We are also preparing presentations for stakeholders that convey information in an easy-to-understand format. We provide a general review of materials and document controls within SharePoint.

We provide Project Management and Workforce Development Work services for the African Chamber of Commerce Pacific Northwest. This work includes working with different organization partners, including the Port of Seattle and SeaTac Aviation, to develop webinars, workshops, and training for immigrants from Africa that live within South King County for career development into jobs within the Aviation, Maritime, and Construction industries. In addition, we provide technical support for both youth and adults impacted by the economic crisis.

Also coordinated Proposal applications to include MWBE/MBE Firms, along with supporting certification processes and supporting small businesses in billing and ad hoc activities. In addition, we initiated and facilitated numerous workshops and webinars.

Aviation Outreach Event in October 2022: Hosting & Planning Work

Siliana hosted on 10/24 at the Gensler Seattle office. 26 different diverse businesses attended alongside key individuals from AERO, Arup, and MKA. It was an opportunity to not only connect with diverse businesses for upcoming Port opportunities, but also the chance to connect them with larger firms for future relationships and project opportunities. Nyambura also gave a presentation about becoming certified for diverse firms who have not yet done so.

Created initiative, workshop and networking opportunities for minority women. This project focused on empowering and uplifting women in business with a focus on financial health, growing a successful business, and strategies for organizing and bookkeeping. 

Nyambura provides services to African-owned businesses that are interested in contracting as Primes and Subcontracting, and show strategically how to certifgy their busineses as minority-owned (MWBE, DBE, ACDBE, SAMs, and WBENC). We work with a variety of small businesses, and facilitate webinars, workshops, and training for owners. In addition, we provide technical support in business registration processes, taxes, business plans, and identifying niches. We teach clients how to be empowered and work with global customers to achieve more.
